Needless to say, the advancement of technology is as fast as it had ever been. 2012 has witnessed the arrival of some innovative gadgets. And the forthcoming year also looks promising and packed for loads of innovative inventions. Some of the notable highlights of 2012 are: Microsoft launching its new tablet model, and Apple releasing the much anticipated iPhone 5 to the excitement of technology freaks. Alright folks! Let’s now take a look a precursor at some of the most awaited launches for the year ahead.


Gaming: Play Station 4 and Xbox 720
For hardcore video gamers who are not completely satisfied with Play Station 3 and Microsoft’s Xbox that are actually running on old gaming platforms, there are some cool options to look out for in 2013. The year is poised to witness the launch of Play Station 4, Xbox 720, and PS4. Microsoft’s Xbox 720 is expected to provide users with a satisfied gaming experience like never before. The much anticipated gaming console is expected to strike the market in the second half of 2013. Interestingly, Xbox 720, Microsoft’s next generation gaming console, is bruited to feature an 8-core CPU. Rumors also hint that Xbox 720 will support DVR, 1080p, Blu-Ray, and 3D functionalities. Xbox is also expected to encompass an Intel processor, NVIDIA graphic card, and 8GB memory space. Media reviews suggest that Xbox 720 will be up to 6 times powerful than its previous version, Xbox 360. So, this is a serious gaming console to look out for.

Another gaming console most gamers are thirstily waiting for is Sony’s Play Station 4. There isn’t any official confirmation from Sony about the naming convention but if rumors are right, then it should be PS4 Orbis. Reliable sources say that PS4 will consist of A8-3850 APU and an AMD Radeon HD 7670 chip to bolster its gaming capabilities. What’s more, PS4 is also expected to support 1080p 3D gaming format. All in all, PS4 is expected to deliver users a much faster and thrilling gaming experience.

Technology: the growth of 4G Technology
We have welcomed the 3G technology and have been benefitted a lot by it. Now, to the excitement of 3G technology lovers, 4G has been launched. Though it is not widely used like 3G, it offers users oodles of benefits. Consumers can use the ultra mobile broadband internet and connect their devices to laptops with the help of USB modem, to smartphones and other mobile devices. 4G technology in 2012 is only maturing but is expected to capture the attention of technology lovers all over the globe next year. 4G technology delivers enhanced HD resolutions for mobile devices.

Gadgets: Apple TV
Apple has revolutionized the way people look at handy gadgets. The company has launched heaps of innovative products, and the latest addition will most likely be Apple TV. Though Apple has remained tight-lipped about the specifications of the product, the news has certainly spurred a big anticipation in technology freaks. Going by rumors, Apple TV will sport a 5-inch screen gem with Siri interaction and DVR capabilities.
