There are lots of great games coming out in 2012. So we’ve got lots of fun to look forward to. Not only will you find some of the most anticipated games of 2012 on this list, you will find games that you might not have known about until now. Enjoy!
Halo 4 – Xbox 360
One of the most exciting shooters of 2012 is Halo 4. And Halo fans are extremely excited to see where the story goes next. What I’m most excited about though is the multiplayer.
The multiplayer in Halo games just seems to get better and better with each game in the series.
I’m really hoping to see Halo 4’s multiplayer at E3 this year.
Trials Evolution – Xbox 360 Live Arcade
Trials Evolution is the follow up to the popular Xbox Live Arcade game Trials HD. The gameplay of Trials Evolution is simple. But can be very difficult to master.
Up to now Trials games have taken place on a 2.5D plane. That means that everything in the game is modeled in 3D but is played as a side-scroller. But Trials Evolution ups the ante with 2.5D and 3D Gameplay.
If you’ve never played a Trials game before, head to the Xbox Live Marketplace and give it a try. Who knows, you might get hooked!
Minecraft – Xbox 360 Live Arcade
Minecraft has been available on the PC for a few years. And will finally be coming to the Xbox 360 this spring.
There are many reasons to be excited about Minecraft on the Xbox 360. But the one that stands out the most is the awesome cross-compatibility with the PC version!
The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft will also have achievements to unlock. It will be released on May 9th of 2012
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance – Nintendo 3DS
The Nintendo 3DS has been going strong ever since its release. And with games like Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance it shows no signs of slowing down.
The game follows Sora and Riku as they are put through an exam. If they pass, they will become Keyblade Masters. This quest takes them on an epic adventure. And you get to go along for the ride.
Dream Drop Distance has seen great success in Japan. It has received positive reviews from many Japanese video game reviewers. Some even believe that the game’s release has contributed to an increase in Nintendo 3DS sales in Japan.
Borderlands 2 – Xbox 360/PS3/PC
One of the most interesting games of 2012 is Borderlands 2. Borderlands games are always very unique and original.
I think one of the biggest challenges Borderlands 2 faces is 1uping its predecessor. Not because Borderlands 2 won’t be a great game. It just has huge shoes to fill.
The developers have said that Borderlands 2 is going to be bigger, better and crazier in every way. That gets me quite excited. I can’t wait to see the new weapons and vehicles.
Call of Duty 9
If you’re a fan of Call of Duty then you’re just as excited as I am to play the next game in the series.
The ninth Call of Duty is being developed by Treyarch. And will run on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s gameplay engine.
One of the lead developers has been using twitter to ask the fans exactly what they want to see. This shows great support for the Call of Duty community. Personally, I want to see more sniper combat in the game. How about you?
I’m definitely looking forward to this year’s Call of Duty and I feel it’s the perfect game to wrap up this list.
