Five Tips for Creating Beautiful Layout for Blogs

Readers find it very amusing to see creative makeovers and appealing designs of the blogs. It makes reader impressed when they view quality and relevant content along with cute and interesting design which compels visitors to navigate through the entire blog. If the blog makes a reader stay at the page for hours, it means that the reader is interested in the content and overall layout of the blog which made them view the more and more posts. If the blog is presenting relevant and high quality content but the layout and design pattern of the blog fails to please the readers’ eyes then the visitor is more likely to click away from the blog. It’s the design and layout which captures the attention of the readers on the first sight and if the visitor gets disappointed with the design or confronts difficulty viewing posts and articles then content will be sidelined. To engage the readers and make them read your posts and articles you have to attract them by working on to improve and enhance the layout design of your blog.
  1. White spaces
Blog with pages on which everything seems to be cluttered with insufficient white spaces irritates the reader as they find it extremely difficult to decide where one post is beginning and where the other is ending. Insufficient white spaces make the blog look crowded even if it is properly organized. Leave spaces between each element on the blog. Add margins and spaces between every article, post and image so that the content appears readable.
  1. Clean sidebars
Usually blogs incorporate navigation links in the sidebars. The navigation allows readers to search through the entire page for the desired article. It’s kind of a table of contents via which readers can review the details and location of each of the post. The sidebars are prominent on every blog so a blogger must carefully add content in to sidebars. Generally, bloggers add links to favorite blogs and sites in the sidebars but many a times sidebars gets cluttered and the reader gets confused. The suggestion is to add meaningful and minimum content in sidebars to ease the process of navigation.
  1. Contact information
Many times, readers in order to inquire about something at the blog need to contact the blogger. And many bloggers forget to mention their contact information on the page. And if they do include their contact information, readers couldn’t find it. Display the contact information on the top right or left of the home page, with colorful sticker r text to attract the readers.
  1. Tag line
The tag line or the banner is the first thing at your page which readers will view when they log on to your blog. It is good to have a short tag line or kind of a description on the blog banner which conveys the concept, message or purpose of the blog to the readers.
  1. Typography
Never use more than three font style while writing the content or the blog. Use on font style for the headings and titles, one font style for the navigation table or the sidebars, and one font style for the articles or posts’ body. Various different font styles make the content look cluttered. Whatever the font you use, be sure that it is readable by the majority of the visitors.
