TV Beds

A new type of tech has entered the bedroom and it not only gives a great user experience but also makes your bed super cool. The new slim TV beds are becoming cheaper and more popular than ever before. It is rare to find a mixture of furniture and technology with such a convenient use but this seems to be a match made in heaven. We all know that TV beds have been around for years, many people have seen the old style box TV version on the US Hit “The Osbournes”. Nowadays, you can have your own TV bed that is of no extra size and maintains a great sleek design.

With a TV bed you are able to sit back and at a click of a button from your remote control you will watch a flap at the end of the bed open and your slim line TV will slowly appear from the foot of your bed. Once you are done, at another lick of a button the TV will retract into it’s original position. What makes this cool is that the television is hidden and it’s a surprise to any friend to watch it magically appear. It also provides a cosy experience and the more luxury models are now being fitted with speakers in the headrest for a surround sound experience. The makers have also provided neat storage holes for extra peripheral units such as a satellite box, DVD player or even a computer games console. Most models will host a TV up to 32” and an allowed depth of 93 mm mean that almost all modern day flat screen TV’s will fit.

The majority of models are in faux leather, colours are usually either  white, brown or black. Prices vary wildly from $400 to $3000 for real leather models of bespoke design. The new lower price range means that this top gadget is now affordable for many who plan to buy a new bed and were already planning on spending a few hundred dollars. Faux leather looks and feels as good as the real thing so many would assume that this hi-tech furniture costs thousands but really you may end up paying a similar price to a normal bed.

TV Beds do appear to be becoming more popular and we have recently seen a lot more advertising for this product at Christmas. As well as television adverts many of the top retailers including major supermarkets are now selling this product. All sizes are available and a new smaller size of TV beds for kids could prove be very popular with that market. Due to the new affordability of this luxury item TV Beds may become the norm in bedrooms across the world.
