Most of us watch game shows from time to time, and behind the television we all feel as if we could walk home with the jackpot winnings. Or at least answer most of the questions correctly. However, when you are in the studio, spotlights on your face, the camera, the audience, the daunting host, you can start to imagine the pressure mounting. Some of these answers are funny, but some are purely inexcusable. Here is a collection of answers given on game shows where some of contestants should have stayed at home.

So that was a collection of some really stupid answers, and game show laughs! Our advice for appearing on a game show would be: 1. Know the rules. 2. Think before you pronounce your answer and 3. Any answer is better than no answer, but just "pass" to save yourself some dignity if in doubt. And of course, a bit of general knowledge revision can't go a miss.
