How to Pass Time on the Internet

The internet is arguably one of the best inventions that there has been over the last century or so. Not only is the internet brilliant to get the information or whatever that you need, but it’s also great if you want to pass some time. Even though you can do just about anything on the internet nowadays, it can still be hard sometimes to think about what you’re going to do to pass some time, so we’ve decided to put a short list together to help you out. Here it is:

Chat to Strangers

As strange as this sounds, it can be quite fun to talk to random people on the internet, although there are times when you come across some weird people so you’ve been warned! You can either use sites like Chat Roulette to either talk to people by messaging them (using text only) or using your web cam to video call them, depending on how brave you are. You’ll easily be able to pass an hour or so by doing this before you get bored.

Play Online Games

Online games are a perfect way of wasting some time. Even if you don’t usually play games that much, you should be able to find some flash games that will keep you occupied for a while. Happy wheels is just one example of a highly addictive game that could keep you busy for hours once you get hooked to it.

Google Maps

One thing that never seems to get boring is Google maps, no matter how long you’ve spent on it. You can literally view anywhere in the world by using Google maps from your very own home. Over the last few years street view has also been released which basically allows you to view places just as you would if you were actually there. For example, if you live in a small town you can go to that town and have a look at the shops in the town, the roads and even your own home sometimes! We always find it funny that people can explore the whole world thanks to this, but the first thing that people usually take a look at is their own home!

Read a Book

So many people assume that you can’t get many books online without purchasing the actual copy of the book, but this isn’t necessarily right. There are a number of websites that allow you to download books straight to your computer and depending on the type of book it is, you might even get it for free. There are people who don’t think enjoy reading a book without actually having the book in their hand, but if you want to pass some time online this isn’t a bad idea.
