The television industry sees a number of people go in and out every few years. Some actors enter the industry and leave a lasting mark while others remain just a small phase. The essence of the industry is particularly marked by an actor’s ability to pick up different kind of roles and present a new avatar to the audience every time. However, there are some actors, who may have made in big in the industry, by some of their habits seem to have carried on through most of their roles or maybe even through every role they ever did.
Brad Pitt has a Food Fetish:
All of us eat more of less the same kind of food, the same way as others. It is for this reason that showcasing a scene where the actors sit and eat a meal is usually cut out of a movie. However when it comes to Brad Pitt, a scene without him eating is almost cut out of the movie. There New York Times once counted through an astonishing, 60 items that Brad Pitt has been seen eating on screen. Whether it is simply snacking on a green apple or a feeding frenzy for nachos, Brad Pitt has a soft spot for his food and the movie makers have a soft spot for his eating habits.
John Cusack Disregards Rain:
In almost every movie he has been a part of, John Cusack has decided to ignore the simple, yet obvious principles of rain. Not that he makes it rain upside down, but he does not seem to think rain can cause damage. Whether it was a boom box over his shoulder, a payphone on his ear, a communicator in his neck or a cell phone in his hand, he has made sure he exposes every piece of technology he laid hands on, to the rain. The rumor about this disregard was confirmed when his mountaineering movie features him telling his son to jump over to another rock, through a sheet of rain. Not only was this disregard for the fact that rocks are slippery during rains, but also disregard for the fact that people can get killed in such situations. A reality check is in order.
Steven Seagal Doesn’t Play the Role, He is The Role:
There is a trend that some people may have noticed, but every movie that stars Steven Seagal, does not state the word “staring” instead it states the world “is”. From being ‘Above the Law’ all the way to being ‘Marked for Death’, Steven Seagal does not seem particularly happy just playing the role. He wants to be seen as the role itself. While character identification in the eyes of the public is an aim all actors tend to aim for, but his fascination with this activity seems to be overpowering his actually abilities to act in a movie.
Tom Hanks Cannot Control His Bladder:
Every movie that stars Tom Hanks has been featured with a urinary gag to entertain the public. While the development of the trend has resulted in the joke dying out, Tom Hank’s obsession to urinating on screen seems to live on. His movies have even featured him meeting the president and telling him his need to use the restroom. Either the facilities were never good enough on set, or he fancied making it a public feature on screen for his viewers.
Tom Cruise is an Athlete:
The lady’s man Tom Cruise has cruised his way through the industry but amazingly, he has done that on his feet. A shot of him running through the streets of the city or through building roof tops have always been featured in all his movies. Whether people enjoy or it more, or does Tom himself is still a mystery but movie makers have claimed that he is one of those few actors willing to run through the streets without making a fuss about it.
The next time you sit down with some popcorn and cola to watch a movie, try and see certain characteristics an actor repeats from his previous movies. Definitely an interesting observation.
