New York certainly is the international supreme skyscraper city. Already by the end of the 19th century, the reduced space on Manhattan triggered builders to construct higher towers. This kind of sensation like a skyscraper, wouldn't become achievable without the creation of steel frame. One standard element is that skyscrapers makes usage of a steel framework structure from which the wall surfaces will be suspended, instead of having load-bearing wall surfaces as noticed in standard buildings. In this photo-gallery we can see black & white photos of working people at a construction site in the early 1900s.
