Saudi Cleric Explains Wife Beating In Islam

This is one insane attempt to justify abuse!

  2. If you ask me, the only thing that sounds crazy about this is that he uses the word "Beating." The cleric is very clear that the "beating" should not cause pain, leave a mark, or otherwise harm the wife. And to me it seems quite reasonable when he says that women do the same thing to men, only with emotional crap. Being a married man myself, I certainly understand the advantage that women have over men when it comes to emotional games, and at times I would rather just be smacked upside the head then be forced to put up with all of that bullsh*t. I, for one, do not think that in our culture it is approriate to hit a woman in any way, but as far as what this man says, it seems perfectly rational and reasonable.

  3. Here in Australia beating animals, women or children will land you either in jail or with a hefty fine.

This misogynistic, over-emotional idiot needs to get a grip before he gets a taste of his own medicine from an irate woman.

I feel very, very sorry for anyone, woman, child or animal, who has to share their life with this sad bastard.

If the best course of action he can think of is sulking on the lounge for the night followed by beating his wife with a toothpick - somewhere that won't leave a mark how inconsistent is that ..ever tried to bruise someone with a toothpick..ha ha)..instead of reasoned discussion on equal terms..then someone should shoot him. Seriously. This guy is influencing thousands of young men to follow in his footsteps. He needs to be put down so that his poor wife, kids, camels and donkeys are safe from his delusions. Either that or anti-psychotic medication.

  4. I dont think "beat" is an appropriate translation for the video. From my understanding, i believe it should be "tap". The man clearly says that it should cause pain and lets face it, how can a toothpick harm anyone?
