eBook Magic by iPad - Revolution in Technology

If you glance at the icon of this phenomenal app you will notice the magic stick and a few stars levitating above the book. Well, that’s exactly what you get if you decide to download this application for iPad; a little bit of magic that will help you to make an eBook which you can either sell or offer as a freebie on your site.

Launched in the first quarter of 2011, this app is still in the top when we talk about apps created for eBooks, photo albums and text documents.  Furthermore, if you like playing around with interesting apps this is a must. For the price of $3.99 you get a lot and you can start working on your first eBook. Who knows where this will take you.

Good sides

Let’s cover the positive sides of this app. First thing you gotta have in mind is the fact that this is more than just an eBook maker. It allows you to produce eBooks, photo albums, interesting children books, presentations etc… This looks like a pretty versatile application that you will find interesting on multiple occasions, right?

With eBook Magic you can:

  • Create eBooks ( in different sizes), of course
  • Create presentation, children books and texts
  • Export all of your work into 3 multiple file types (ePub, ebmagic and PDF)
  • Use your iPad cam during the work on your book

Now these are the basic pointers on what you get if you decide to go for this app. Once you’re inside of this virtual book maker you will notice elegantly designed app (could need some improvements though) which is very easy to use. Tap here, tap there and you will be creating your ereader reviews in matter of seconds.

Another good thing worth mentioning is the fact that you don’t have to think about the design and layout of your ebooks until you finish the work. This is great since you can start adding your ideas onto the “paper” from the beginning and if you’re satisfied with your work you can choose colors, fonts, themes and book size.

Furthermore, menus are so simple and user friendly. There are 4 basic settings (Choose page, text setting, book setting and photo setting) which are easy to figure out and even easier to use. With a few taps you can start creating, and this is what the authors are out for. Why spending time figuring out how to use program when you can start creating in just a few seconds?

What can be better?

If you expect this app to do some magical things (as stated in the intro) without any work on your side you will be disappointed. Even though this app is great and easy to use it does ask for a little bit of imagination.

Things that could be better are:

  • App should be a bit “cooler”
  • There should be some extra features added to make the work more interesting

OK, so these two things mentioned, being cool and more interesting, is something that you may say for pretty much any app on the Apple store. The thing is, this app is a year and a half old and users are expecting some serious upgrades, which is something that developers should think about.

Adding few features in the next update might just move this app one ladder up which is going to be pretty high compared to other apps out there. For all of you who are not expecting such an app to be cool this is a good buy, especially if you’re on the go all the time and you have to deliver specially eBook reader reviews before deadline.
