Can Tarot Cards Really Predict Our Fate?

Once traditional playing cards, Tarot cards were first seen in the late 1300’s. However, it was not until 1781 that French and English occult members discovered the Tarot cards as they have come to be known today. The cards they felt had symbolic pictures with a much deeper meaning; a meaning that could be used in a mystical and predictive way. Tarot cards thus came into being a divination tool.

What Is Tarot?

In Tarot, cards are picked up randomly and the reader provides answers put forth by the subject. How can a randomly picked up set of cards give relevant information to an individual’s life and its occurrences? Some people feel that a Tarot card can help you make the right choice by enlightening you about the best options there are. The cards do not reveal what you need to do or what is going to happen. It will rather indicate what might happen depending on what decisions you take. Tarot cards could work in a couple of ways; the first one being synchronicity. If Carl Jung were to be believed, there is a connecting principle called synchronicity that is apart from the cause and effect relationship that science is so squarely based on. Synchronicity is a way of explaining how the universe’s guiding forces work. What we consider as being coincidence might actually be signs to help guide us. He related this to quantum mechanics where particles are randomly connected and their behaviors are probabilities and not certainties. Tarot cards can show us the way ahead, our guiding energies, show us patterns in our thought process and decision making that we might have otherwise missed. Once we see the possibilities through Tarot reading, we are given the chance to change the probabilities.
Projecting is the second method in which Tarot card reading could work. Here everything comes down to a play of words and ideas on our subconscious mind. As you receive a Tarot reading, you might interpret the cards keeping in mind the facts of life that shape you. You have question in your subconscious that you do not project outside. So based on what card you pick, you can divine answers from what you see and answer your questions on the inside.
Tarot cards tend to have different and individual meanings, all depending on how they fall within a spread of the cards. Included below are a couple of the face cards with their meanings:

Examples Of Tarot Cards

A Death card is the indication of something ending, a transition period, elimination and inexorable forces in your life. The Fool’s card is indicative of spontaneity, a new beginning, faith and possibly a folly you might commit. The high priestess card, is indicative of potential mysteries. The lover’s card indicates a new relationship, renewed sexuality, personal beliefs and values.
You see the various interpretations of each card, so unique, so special. So, if you want to believe that Tarot cards will hold the answers to your life, provide solution to problems, then it is important to keep the mind open to interpretation.
