The Lucky One directed by Academy Award-nominated writer/director Scott Hicks is grabbing attention in the box office these days. This much talked about movie centers around Zac Efron, Taylor Schilling and Blythe Danner. It is a romantic flick about Sergeant Logan Thibault (Efron) who makes a trip to Iraq. It is a three day official trip. On his way back, he brings back with him nothing but doting memories of the picture of a woman whom he hardly ever met in his life time. He carries the picture with him as it is the pushing force that kept him going amidst the war. The picture breezed his mind during the harsh moments in Iraq. It was a symbol of charm and good luck to him.

He manages to pull together some details about the lady and learns that her name is Beth and where she lives. He makes an audacious effort to show up at her door. The spark within him forces him to linger around her. Eventually he works for this young lady at a kennel which is run by her family. She seems extremely reluctant in the beginning. She does not have the heart to bank on his goodwill because of certain pressing issues in the past with her family. In spite of the glitches, she yields to his passion and brownie points. Finally hope dawns upon them and love blossoms making her much more than just a good luck charm.

The hero of this movie Zac was born in San Luis Obispo, California. Born with a great singing ability, he took to movies at the tender age of 11. He made his first appearance in “Gypsy” which marked the beginning of his career. He also performed in “Peter Pan," "Auntie Mame", "Little Shop of Horrors" and "The Music Man”,  which shot him to fame. He completed his schooling in Arroyo Grande High School in 2006. Zac loves playing the piano while he is at home and is also learning to play the guitar. He lives with his parents, and brother Dylan.

The blonde diva who shares the screen opposite Zac is none other than Taylor Schilling. She has remained the heartthrob of photogs ever since she appeared in “The Lucky One”. She landed in Hollywood with a small role in “Dark Matter”. She had some pretty bad moments with a role in the NBC drama “Mercy” when it was cancelled due to some reasons. However as luck would have it, she signed up for Nicholas Spark’s gig and now it looks like a smooth sail ahead for this 27 yr old!
