Human Impact On The Planet

Most of us have looked at satellite images of our planet before, however Canadian scientist Felix Pharand Deschenes went one step further, working with information obtained through various government agencies, he has generated a number of spectacular scientific pictures exhibiting technological level of the planet Earth. He said: "We see everything from paved and unpaved roads, light pollution, railways, electricity transmission lines, all the way to submarine cables, pipelines, shipping lanes and air traffic. "In his illustrations you can see precisely how power lines, highways along with air traffic corridors invade the surface of the planet.

power lines, roads and air traffic corridors cover Europe

modern technology lights up North America

South America at night: railways, roads, submarine cables and city illumination

Australia: railways, roads, submarine cables and city illumination
